Just yesterday, Impinj announced the launch of the new Impinj M780 and M781 RAIN RFID tag chips, which is the first extended memory chip in the Impinj M700 series. It is reported that the new label chip will be used to help medical, food and industrial manufacturing enterprises to manage product shelf life and reduce waste under the premise of compliance with laws and regulations.

In addition, Impinj also announced the launch of a new Impinj Core3D antenna reference design product portfolio, which can support the omni-directional reading of all Impinj M700 series chips, simplify the development of inlays and labels, and further improve the readability, accuracy and reliability of the system.

Impinj M780 chip has 496 bit EPC memory and 128 bit user memory, while Impinj M781 chip includes 128 bit EPC memory and 512 bit user memory. These large memory formats support the capture of product attribute data, such as batch/lot number, production date, expiration date, and weight.

Compared with the last generation Monza 4 label chip of Impinj, the reading range of Impinj M780 and M781 has increased by 50%, significantly improving the readability, accuracy and reliability of various materials.

Impinj M780 and M781 have rich functions, including:

? Impinj Enhanced AutoTune adaptive tuning can improve readability and inventory accuracy of more materials.

? Impinj Enhanced Integra data diagnostics, which can self check the label quality.

? Impinj Protected Mode realizes consumer privacy by providing the reading location, time and personnel of the label.

? Impinj Unkillable Mode, which can prevent accidental label deletion when using Impinj protection mode.

All Impinj M700 series label chips are compatible with antennas, enabling fast design cycles. New products based on Impinj M780 and M781 tag chips are expected to be launched from leading Impinj RAIN RFID tags and inlay partners (including Confidex and Arizona) in the next few months.

George Guo, Vice President of Sales and Operations of Arizona RFID Technology Co., said that the advent of Impinj M780 and M781 chips enabled us to use the latest performance and technology to upgrade some long-standing label designs. It enables us to design labels with higher sensitivity to further meet customer requirements. Our customers in industry, document control, tire tracking, air baggage and other large memory applications will benefit from the Impinj M780 label. So far, we have designed 20 inlay and hope to use Impinj M780 and M781 chips to design more new products.

It is reported that Impinj M780 and M781 label chips are now on the market, promoting Impinj platform together with the recently launched Impinj Authentication solution engine and Impinj M775 chip.
